OpenStudy (superhelp101):

I need help with this

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is \(g(4)\)?

Nnesha (nnesha):

first find f(4) and g(4)

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

I got -1 and 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm

Nnesha (nnesha):

right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[g(4)=2\times 4+6=?\]

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops i will be quiet

Nnesha (nnesha):

now plug g(4) into f(x) function

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

so plug in -1 into the f(x) ?

Nnesha (nnesha):

yep right

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

-3.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm i still think that is not right

Nnesha (nnesha):

-1 into g(x) not f(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[g(4)=2\times 4+6=14\] so \[f(g(4)=f(14)=\frac{1}{2}\times 14-3=7-3=4\]

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

yes i got 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok good then do \[g(f(4))\]

Nnesha (nnesha):

yep now plug f(4) into f(x) then add both numbers :-)done!

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

is the answer 8?

Nnesha (nnesha):

yep!

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

thx guys! :)

Nnesha (nnesha):

np :-)
