create your own analogy of how the endocrine system is like a common system that you use everyday .Can someone help me with this im confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Love_Ranaa

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

You're supposed to compare the organs of the endocrine system to everyday things. For example, people say the nucleus of a cell is like a principal of a school because it controls everything. They are say organelles are like the students because they work to make up a class ..

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

Or w.e

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i kind of get it now but i really dont know what to put . im kind of stuck of how compare it to everday life

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

Well do u know the parts of the endocrine system and what they do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know most of the parts

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

Okay, I see you have to know what the endocrine system does and compare it to a everyday thing ..

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

The endocrine system is made up of a network of glands. These glands secrete hormones to regulate many bodily functions, including growth and metabolism.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah that what im having trouble with the comparing it to everyday life

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

What I saw: The endocrine system helps carry messages throughout your body, to tell your body what to do. You can think of it as a giant mail system.

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

So, if we compare this whole endocrine system to how mail gets delivered, the endocrine gland would be like someone who puts a letter in the mailbox, then the bloodstream (which would be like the mail carrier) carries the letter to exactly where it is supposed to go (to just the right new mailbox, which would be like an organ, or receptor)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o ok i see now that make much more sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you again . you made it much more clear on what i have to do and it not confusing anymore

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

No problem :)
