WILL FAN!! A parallelogram with vertices (–1, 2), (3, 2), (1, –2), and (–3, –2) is translated right 2 units, down 5 units. What are the coordinates of the vertices of the translated parallelogram? A. (1, 7), (5, 7), (3, 3), and (–1, 3) B. (1, –3), (5, 7), (3, 7), and (–1, –3) C. (1, –3), (5, –3), (3, –7), and (–1, –7) D. (–3, –3), (1, –3), (–1, –7), and (–1, 3)
@mathstudent55
what do you think?
i dont think its d
Do the same we did in the other similar problems. A translation right 2 units means add 2 to every x. A translation down 5 units means subtract 5 from every y.
its c
The original points are: (–1, 2), (3, 2), (1, –2), and (–3, –2) The x-coordinates are: -1, 3, 1, and -3 Add 2 to each of those numbers. What do you get?
thanks @mathstudent55
Correct. C is the answer.
yay I got a 100
