OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Extra words in a sentence that add detail and are set off by commas are called _____t___i___ 13 letters When two complete sentences are separated by a comma, it is referred to as a comma _p_i_e Six letters

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

I know the third one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok what is it KyantheDoodle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have an idea for the first one, but the letter "e" is not in the 2nd place

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

It is a comma splice. It's when you join two independent clauses. Although it is quite informal when you use a comma splice because using independent clauses together requires a semi-colon.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it tells me if they are correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks KyanTheDoodle

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Unless a comma splice is a semi-colon. I'm not quite sure anymore. All I know is that it exists.

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Ok no it isn't. :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Splice was correct

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

WOOH! Ten points for DoodleDorf!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

About the godfather by mario pizzo... i think it is intensive.. i'm not sure. And for the "Extra words in a sentence that add detail and are set off by commas are called" I think it is transitions but the number of letters don't match. Example of transitions are: moreover, however, additionally, and many more.. That's all I can think of :/

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

*dor I don't know why that f was at the end.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its not intensive for the Mario Puzo one @Data_LG2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cant be transitions bc the 2nd letter of the extra words one is "a"

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Well it most certainly ends in ive.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But thank you @Data_LG2

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Could the first one be deceptive?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The one about Mario Puzo is "Writing is rewriting"

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Oh. Wow. That's actually really stupid. Mario Puzo's a real douche.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol I just typed in "writing is" on google and that popped up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The only one I gotta figure out is the "Extra words..."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ahh I got it...the extra words one is "parenthetical"

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Holy sheep. I would've never gotten that. XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The third one is connectives

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Jennyfromdablock

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

We already figured the third one out. It's splice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, okay. I didn't see that one
