@amistre64

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(\frac{ 27 }{ 8 })^{\frac{ 4 }{ 3 }}\]

OpenStudy (amistre64):

well, power, then root what are your steps

OpenStudy (amistre64):

we can root then power if thats simpler

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no lets just stick with power first but how would i power in a fraction?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

well, all a power is is a fast sort of multiplication a^4 = a*a*a*a what is: \[\frac{27}{8}*\frac{27}{8}*\frac{27}{8}*\frac{27}{8}\] or more succinctly \[\frac{27*27*27*27}{8*8*8*8}\] which is just another way of saying \[\frac{27^4}{8^4}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok thanks I think I can do it from here.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

youre welcome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so the answer is 81/16
