Which of the following is an example of a unit rate? A) $40 for 10 gallons of gas B) $0.99 for 12 pencils C) 16 feet per second D) 18 magazines for $12.50 I hope someone maybe able to help me
unit rate is how much 1 thing is.....um...not to good at explaining example : 1 shirt costs $10 -- this is per unit rate 2 shirts cost $20 -- this is not 1 day is 24 hrs -- this is unit rate 2 days is 48 hrs -- this is not kinda understand ?
Yeah that makes a little sense.
do you have an idea what the answer is
maybe B?
no it is not.... if it said 99 cents for 1 pencil, it would be unit rate....telling you how much 1 unit (pencil) cost
wanna try again
Maybe d beings it is more than one? Sorry
not d .....it would have to say something like 1 magazine for $12.50......not 18 magazines. Take a look at C.. 16 ft per second.......so it is 16 ft for every 1 second. (This is unit rate)
I looked at that one as well but I don't know why it didn't look right but the way you just explained it makes sense to me know. Thank you Math is my subject on get confused on
lol....math can be very confusing...it even has its own language :)
