Three vertices of a square are (–1, 3), (–1, –1), and (3, 3). What is the fourth vertex of the square? A. (–1, –3) B. (1, 3) C. (3, 0) D. (3, –1)

@surjithayer

OpenStudy (frizz):

It's quite easy, Rule out A, and B. Look at the Y coordinate and see what answer is the best fit for a square.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sooo. it would be C ? or , idk im still confused

OpenStudy (frizz):

Well. There are two points on the X Axis (Vertical) that are at -1. Their Y coordinates should be the same as the second half to equal a square. Thus, The answer is D ( 3, -1).

I kinda get it now.

OpenStudy (frizz):

It also helps if you make a coordinate plane on some graph paper to visualize the points better.
