In which type of wave do air particles move together or apart parallel to the direction of the wave? A. sound waves B. transverse waves C. surface waves D. electromagnetic waves

- if they move parallel to the direction fo the wave, they are longitudinal, not transverse (is not B) - Electromagnetic waves do not produce a displacement in a medium, so air would not move (not D) - surface waves happens in liquids or solids, not air (so it cant be C) :)
