OpenStudy (cutiecomittee123):

Which conic section does this equation match? x^2-4x+y^2+6y-9=5 My guess is its a circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

RIght, it would be a circle. Which is a special case of an ellipse if you specially had to mention one of the conic sections. Would you know how to show it if needed, though?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*specifically wow, I r iz english suck -_-

OpenStudy (cutiecomittee123):

well if I had to prove that it was a circle I would just compete the square with the equation given. Which is (x-2)^2+(y+3)^2=9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, awesome. Just making sure :)

OpenStudy (cutiecomittee123):

Center is (2,-3) and the radius is 3:)

OpenStudy (cutiecomittee123):

I am actually okay with circles haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bingo. And okay, thats good then :3

OpenStudy (cutiecomittee123):

thanks for all the help!!
