The equation below shows the perimeter f(x) of several rectangular side tables having width x inches: f(x) = 24 + 2x The perimeter of each table is less than 50 inches. Which of the following best describes the domain of f(x)? All integers greater than 0 and less than 13 All integers greater than 0 and less than 50 All real numbers greater than 0 and less than 13 All real numbers greater than 0 and less than 50

OpenStudy (help_people):

here is the last one (i hope) : Zen wants to fill a window box with soil. The length of the window box is 5 feet, width is 6 inches, and height is 9 inches. Each bag of soil contains 0.625 cubic foot of soil. How many bags of soil will Zen need to fill the window box completely? [1 foot = 12 inches] Numerical Answers Expected! Answer for Blank 1:

OpenStudy (freckles):

You are given that f(x) is less than 50 inches so just solve f(x)<50 for x

OpenStudy (help_people):

for the first one i got c? @freckles

OpenStudy (freckles):

sounds fine since measurements aren't always in integer form

OpenStudy (help_people):

? what do you mean

OpenStudy (help_people):

oh i get never mind srry

OpenStudy (help_people):

how about the second one?

OpenStudy (freckles):

have you found the volume of the window box?

OpenStudy (help_people):

? for the second one

OpenStudy (freckles):

the only other question I see is the one with the window box? is that not the right problem?

OpenStudy (freckles):

if you want to do the problem with the window box you need to first find the volume of the window box and then divide that by the volume of one bag to see how many bags you need

OpenStudy (help_people):

ok

OpenStudy (help_people):

and that is the right problem i got 3 for the answer but i am not sure

OpenStudy (help_people):

@freckles ?

OpenStudy (freckles):

well what did you get for the volume of the window box and yes I'm still here

OpenStudy (freckles):

I assumed you converted all the lengths given to feet?

OpenStudy (freckles):

then you multiply the width, height, and length to find the volume of the box

OpenStudy (help_people):

so 3 is right?

OpenStudy (freckles):

ok yea sure I just wanted to see your steps and see if you really understood it but yea 3 is right

OpenStudy (help_people):

ok thank you
