Well you must have learned the rule at some point, it seems to be standard issue for most stats courses. It's the empirical rule that says for a normal distribution, you can expect \(68\%\) of the distribution to fall within one standard deviation of the mean, \(95\%\) within two, and \(99.7\%\) within three.
