By anaphase, if you mean anaphase I in mitosis, you actually have the homologous pairs- the two chromosomes being separated from one another to have one set of chromosomes going to opposite ends of the cell.
In anaphase for mitosis, the spindle fires pull apart the chromosomes at the centromere, so that new chromosomes are made, which go to either end of the cell, and you also have the cell furrow cleavages becoming deeper, like in anaphase I.
Also cytokinesis starts at these stages, where the cytoplasm starts to divide.
