OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Da_Homie I need help... >.<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer I got was 262,144 but its not one of the options...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hia

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hi lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one sec, hold tight

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So S10 meaning the 10th number, correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I believe so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and you tried a proportion?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

obviously not lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 4/16 = 64/X

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then cross multiply for X

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 4 }{ 16 } = \frac{ 64 }{ x }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1024=4x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=256

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, so that is our 5th number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could've just done 64 x 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I tried multiplying each term by 4 until I got to the 10th term, but I got the number I showed above

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The hard way would be to keep doing these proportions until we get to the 10th. The easy way would be... I have no idea actually what the easy way is lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol thanks XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats funny si 64*4 is 256

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so im not sure if you will get the same number u got before. It would really be a shame if we wasted that much time for nothing lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol well would the next be \[\frac{ 4 }{ 16 } = \frac{ 256 }{ x } \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x= 1024 which is the same as 256 (4) XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Jeeze

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I still get 262,144 as my 10th term >.<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And 5 more terms from that would be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe it wants us to do 10 terms from the 5th term

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just multiply by 4 until 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I did >.<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I multiplied each term by 4 until I got to the 10th term and I got 262,144

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that the 10th term from the 5th term, or the 10th term from the 1st?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from the 1st.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try doing 10 from the fifth, you might get 349,525. But if you pass it on your way up, then it cant be true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

64*4=256*4=1024*4=4096*4=16384*4=65536*4=262144

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see?? any more than that will be huge (1,048,576)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh snap, true true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol its impossible XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

unless S10 means something we dont know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hang tight for a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well I'm stumped.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I"m just gonna guess its A since its the biggest number >.<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea, i would guess A or B lol
