MEDAL!! MATH PLEASE HELP ME!! In a dance competition, a participant has to score a total of at least 30 points in the first four rounds combined to move on to the fifth and final round. Steward scored 5 points in the first round. He then went on to score additional points in the second, third, and fourth rounds. In each of those rounds, his score was identical. Which inequality best shows the number of points, p, that Steward scored in each of the second, third, and fourth rounds if he earned a place in the finals? A) 5 + 3p ≥ 30 B) 5 + 3p ≤ 30 C) 5p + 3 ≥ 30 D 5p + 3 ≤ 30

Awww thanks:) @horsegirl27
So, at least means greater than or equal to. That immediately eliminates B and D, as those are less than or equal to.
Do you know the next step?
Is it C @horsegirl27
Don't rush to the answer, just yet :)
No I don't know the next step can u help me? @horsegirl27
So, you know he earned 5 points in the first round. He scored more points in the next 3 rounds. So you know he earned 5 points. So it will be 5+__ Then you don't know how many points he earned in the next rounds, so you fill it with p, and then you will end up multiplying that by 3, so you know it will be 3p. 5 + 3p ≥ 30 will be your final answer. This type of question is all in the reading, there is no math you actually have to do.
Thanks @horsegirl27
