Need help finding the three points on a graph with the equation. -5x + 2y = 11 Find the three points that solve the equation?

OpenStudy (zehanz):

You can even find an infinity of points on this line, where every point will solve the equation. After all, the line has an infinite amount of points on it. How to find the coordinates of these points? Just pick an x, say x=10, put this value in the equation and solve for y. Now you have found one point. Pick another x, say x=0 and solve again for y. You can pick any x-value you like, there is always an y that comes with it....

OpenStudy (zehanz):

Let me calculate the first one for you: if x=10 then -50 + 2y = 11, so 2y = 61 and y = 61/2. Point: (10, 30.5)
