Help for a medal and fan?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let A = {-3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3} Let B = {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5} Let C = {1, 3, 5, 7, 9} Which set is equivalent to (A U B) n C? The U and n are actually different symbols, and I attached an image of what they actually look like {1, 3} {1, 3, 5} {0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9} {-3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9}

1. What is A U B? Well it it is the set of numbers in a and b that are simply combined. 2. Therefore the set A U B is {-3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5} 3. Next the intersection of two sets is the set of numbers in each set which are the same. notation used is n. 4. Therefore (A U B) n C is {1, 3, 5}
