MEDAL!!!! Evaluate the expression for the given value of the variable(s). 5a+5b; a=-6, b=-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All you need to do is substitute in your two variables. 5(-6) + 5(-5) = -30 + -25 = -55

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You could have also solved this by first factoring your original equation... leaving you with 5(a+b). From this point, it is simply a matter of plugging in a and b to get 5 * (-6 + -5) = 5 * -11 = -55.
