what can a student do to attempt to remove a particular course from a Core Curriculum list?

This year, I just dropped 2 classes from college, and then took classes online instead, so I could keep my class quota at school.. the online is cheaper, and I get to maintain a 4.0GPA.
At least that got me out of the bad classes with bad teachers..

but if you're looking to censor whole subject from the US curriculum.. you might be up against some powerful institutions.. like the church.. you need some serious lobbying money, and a bed partner in the congress.

I would guess you need to get political.. and start a grassroots movement, with a lot of leverage from social media.. if you can get people united on it.. you can effect change.

and if it's radical, progressive and controversial enough, you might be able to solicit powerful allies, like Anonymous

reddit dot com is a good place to try and gather the attention of radicals like that.

and explore the 'dark web' which is another place that radical activists trying to affect change will congregate.

by that route, you're basically trying to become an evangelist for an idea, that you stimulate into the public discourse of forums where politically motivated people meet. Meetup dot com, is another place to gather like minds like this, but more on a face to face basis, which can be a powerful medium to rally change.

oh, I see.... so not much genuine an individual can take....

I mean, that to participate in democracy a person can write to a newspaper or vote.

And to do this (to at least attempt to force the removal of a particular course from the Core Curriculum) there isn't much of a similar action to take.

social media is the way nowadays.. it's given a voice to palestine, it was responsible for the collapse of the egyptian government (recent revolution), it has been the force behind revolution in europe..and us movements like the occupy movements.
