OpenStudy (jacob902):

Evaluate (3/4)x^0.

OpenStudy (jacob902):

i think its 1?

Mehek (mehek14):

no

Mehek (mehek14):

\(\dfrac{3}{4}=0.75\)

Mehek (mehek14):

\(x^0=1\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anything to the power of 0 is 1. This means whatever value you use for x, the answer will always be .75

Mehek (mehek14):

\(0.75^1=0.75\)

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

The only possible exception may be x = 0, because depending on who you ask, 0^0 is or is not defined.

OpenStudy (jacob902):

its 0.75?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anything to the power of zero is automatically 1. It is a trick question. They are trying to scare you with the fraction when in fact the answer is always 1 when it is a power to the zero. Almost like how multiplying by a zero will always be a zero.

OpenStudy (jacob902):

ik so tricky

OpenStudy (jacob902):

what im confused do i type 1 or 0 when i enter my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your answer is 1 no matter what. When plugging it into a calculator you use zero. Your final answer will be zero.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean 1 sorry.
