i wasn't there when the teacher was explaining this please help
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so you multiply 1/4 with 4/1
multiply 1/14 with 14/1
what do you get?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
you should end up with a whole number
OpenStudy (anonymous):
4/4= 1
14/14 = 1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
x/x

so you end up with x
OpenStudy (anonymous):
does that make sense??
OpenStudy (anonymous):
because if you divide 1x with 1x you get 1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so is the final answer x or x/x?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
the final answer should be x
