To solve the equation 3sin(2x) = 5cosx, you should rewrite it as____. A. 3sinx + 5cosx = 0 B. cosx(3sinx - 5) = 0 C. cosx(6sinx - 5) = 0

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

hint: use eqn sin2A = 2sinAcosA

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am want say A but I have a good feeling it is C

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

What happens to the 2x if A is the ans?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, now that I look at this way, I see that I don't see how 2x would go into A as the answer. Therefore taking that out of the equation right?

*problem

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

correct :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Awesome! I don't think that B would be the answer because it would have to be '6sinx' instead of '3sinx' right?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

also correct :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cool! So that would make the answer C!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you for the time and help! I appreciate it!
