First thing first, I don't even know what the question is asking me to answer.
the question that you are being asked is whether the honor roll students have an UNFAIR ADVANTAGE
Whether the honor roll students have a unfair advantage OVER non honor roll correct?
I do not know how to solve this... I think this is unconditional probability, but not exactly sure.
So, 215/295 were honor roll students who "received the math class they requested" compared with only 125/205 who were not honor roll students. Working this out we can say that approx 73% of honor roll students got the math class they requested by comparison to just approx 61% of non-honors students. Answer: Yes, it would seem they had an unfair advantage.
I think I got it, awesome thanks!
