I need help coming up with a real life situation to apply to the scientific method? I'm kinda drawing a blank. @karatechopper @aaronq @zepdrix
Think of something that you can observe and question (form a hypothesis), it can be anything really. I can help you iron things out if you want after you think of an example
I've been trying to think of examples but I can't really find a decent one. :s I know I'm probably overthinking it but I'm just drawing a blank.
The steps of the scientific method are to: Ask a Question Do Background Research Construct a Hypothesis Test Your Hypothesis by Doing an Experiment Analyze Your Data and Draw a Conclusion Communicate Your Results So let's come up with an experiment. Remember any from elementary or middle school?
None at all.
It says to use one that correlates to my daily life, but I can't think of any.
How about something like, What is a faster route for Janika to use in order to get from the Library to the Mall on her bike?
^thats a good simple idea
Honestly, science is everywhere...take any point of life, question it. See how things could have possibly happened differently if it wasn't for that one variable in your life. Like, how long will it take me to eat that bowl of cereal? Well I could have eaten it in 5 minutes, but then I watched tv while doing so and it distracted me. Delaying time to 20 minutes of eating. The TV is your variable.
I think you were just stressing yourself out there. :)
Ha. You're right. Thank you. :)
