Use the pattern in the sequence to determine the next two terms. Friday, Monday, Saturday, Sunday. . .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How many days are in between Friday and Monday?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 days are between Friday and Monday

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay now how many days are between Monday and Saturday?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Saturday and sunday?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

great! so we have the numbers 2, 5, and 1. So that's our pattern. Now you have to find out what day it will be next

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is such an awkward pattern.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 days after sunday will be ______ and five days after that will be _______

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Those will be your answers.

OpenStudy (lynfran):

the sequence 3,5,1 so; Friday, Monday, Saturday, Sunday....Wednesday,Monday,Tuesday...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Tuesday and five days after that Sunday right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Side note (the answers provided by others are right, not this one) 5,1,6,7 - could be a Fibonacci-ish sort of pattern where you start with 5 and 1 for some bizarre reason and then the next term is always the sum of the previous terms (6 is 5+1, 7 is 6+1) so the next one is going to be 13 which means Saturday.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a) Tuesday, Thursday b) Thursday, Tuesday c) Thursday, Wednesday d) Wednesday, Thursday these are the answers i have to pick from

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait a sec, it's 3 5 1 not 2 5 1, so it would be Wednesday and Monday...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is weird...

OpenStudy (lynfran):

the pattern would be Friday, Monday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Wednesday, Thursday etc (3,5,1)
