How is B even possible! Cell division never increase number of chromosome!

@caozeyuan I take it you don't know about chromosome and genome duplication. It is very common in the histories of life. I think "normal" should be replaced with "somatic" or "non-sex cell" in the question. That may help.

@caozeyuan Should be. Gene, chromosome, and genome duplication has an important role in the evolution of new genes, species etc. In particular, many tree species seem to accumulate chromosome copies. We have a poor understanding of why this is, but there are several strong hypotheses for this.
