@logan6767 Do not spam this post. @HWBUSTER00 Is there more information to solve your question? It seems incomplete to me :/
No that is the total question.. i dont understand it ?
Maybe it's the line composed by those two points.
@HWBUSTER00 Are you asking for the distance?
@TheSmartOne i haven't been spaming i have been asking questions
this question is about Translations and Reflections....and this is the full question What is T(-6, 5) (-1, -2)? @Owlcoffee @TheSmartOne @GreenCat
@logan6767 irrelevant questions
@HWBUSTER00 I think it is asking for the translation from one point to the other.
what are you gonna due about it flutterer
I have no idea ....@GreenCat
@GreenCat
The question doesnt make sense
i think the reason you are not getting an answer is because it is entirely unclear what \[T(-6, 5) (-1, -2) \] means
what @pooja195 said
I think you just show the number of units that the point is translated. @HWBUSTER00 Are there an answer choices?
lol .. I agree it does not make sence but my teacher would not have given me this question that cannot be answered . @satellite73 @pooja195 and @GreenCat no this is a written answer
I think there is info missing
I think they're trying to say "Apply the translation (x,y) -> (x-6, y+5) to the point (-1,-2)" just a guess though
i have to find T . What is T?
T is just shorthand notation for "translation"
if my guess is correct, then they want you to shift the point 6 units left, 5 units up
so. it wants me to say if it went up,down,left or right
example: http://www.mathwarehouse.com/transformations/images/translations/picture-of-translation11.gif
Could you take a screenshot of the question?
yeah @TheSmartOne

it wouldn't let me so i copied and pasted
have a look at this page http://www.regentsprep.org/regents/math/geometry/gt2/Trans.htm
notice how they use the notation \[\Large T_{a,b}(x,y) = (x+a, y+b)\]
this page may be helpful in taking a screenshot http://www.take-a-screenshot.org/
ok that's what I was thinking
that just means "shift the point (-1,-2) six units to the left and 5 units up"
so is it (1,-4) ??
