Simplify: (3x/y)2/(9/x2y) Select one: a. 1x b. xy3 c. x^{2}y^{3}} d. 3x4y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you think is the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have to combine like terms first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because i feel like thats the only one that makes sense.. but i don't know thats why i came here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have to combine like terms first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

such as 3x and x to get what @AWillie98

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AWillie98 draw out your question. that's hard to read. Is that supposed to be division and exponents?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@peachpi i don't know... thats the way they gave it too me. they don't set it up clearly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They gave it to you EXACTLY like that? all in one line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add like terms first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

such as 3x and x to get 4x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why are you adding? there are no plus signs...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so (4x/y)2/(9/x2y) then do 2/9 wich is 1.8 then add y and 2y to get 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually divide 3x/x to get 3x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@peachpi yes the program isn't well made we decided not to go through them after this year.. i don't know why they put it one line
