Question

What particular content from Honors Biology should I make sure to recall before beginning Honors Chemistry? (high school level) Please let me know; I want to begin Honors Chemistry with a slight advantage so as not to be overwhelmed during the first few weeks of the year. Thank you!

The things you learn in high school biology will not be apparently correlative with your high school chemistry course.
If you want to go a bit prepared, read up on some of the material beforehand, maybe find the book they used from a previous student and read ahead.
It is more concept and applied math oriented where as biology, at high school level, is pure memorization with a vestige of applications.

Here is an approximate outline of what you will learn in chemistry:

1. what is chemistry
2. precision and accuracy (important!)
3. conversions and measurements in SI units
4. matter (brief intro to quantum - such as electrons and such)
5. bonding and reactions and reaction conversions (dimensional analysis)
6. more dimensional analysis
7. intro to acids and bases
8. gases (ideal gases) and their behavior

and probably some more basic acid-base chemistry

I think only in AP level do they give you a small intro into organic chemistry such as IUPAC nomenclature of alkanes, alkenes, and alkynes. But the above should be most of what is covered.

Start learning about the different models of the atom over the summer and learning about the different energy levels of electrons inside of the atom. Learn about the different nodes which affect the quantum numbers and other things like this. Understanding this part of chemistry can be very helpful when you get into other topics.

I doubt they will be tested on energy levels and nodes or their functions.

But yes, quantum numbers are a small portion that you learn near the end of high school chemistry.
