Argument A: There is a need for students to understand and be able to construct geometric figures using a compass and straightedge. Argument B: There is no need for students to use a compass and straightedge, and all geometric constructions should be done using a drawing program. Which do you agree with and why?
Which one do you believe it is?
i side with argument A because we have been using those tools for years and they have worked perfectly so there should be no reason to drop them
I would pick Argument A, here is a response for it as well: People these days ask when they will utilize information found in a science classroom as our innovation today rapidly changes and advances. However, to totally admire a theme in math, you must take in its history. The historical backdrop of Geometry backpedals to old Egypt with the no doubt understood mathematician Euclid. Generally as the Greeks built up a number framework which is the premise of math today, Euclid made geometric figures utilizing two extremely valuable apparatuses: the compass and the straightedge
Absolutely correct well done!:)
