T=A & C=G Why? Why can these nitrogenous bases match with their own partner, but not others?

Hint: This is to do with complementary base pairing. Cytosine can form 3 hydrogen bonds with Guanine Adenine can form 2 hydrogen bonds with Thymine. Or simply, C bonds with G and A bond with T. It's called complementary base pairing because each base can only bond with a specific base partner AND the structures complement each other (kinda similar to a lock and key). C will only bond with G and A will only bond with T in DNA.
