What is the value of x? 56 68 54 82
http://www.regentsprep.org/regents/math/geometry/gp15/circleangles.htm looks like we are using lemma 5 there
Scroll to the bottom that is (you should see the exact formula you should be using)
so ab= 136?
what does ab mean here?
so m<ABD=1/2?
I don't know. Have you posted the right pic? I see no A,B,C,D,a,b, thing's in your picture... You find the difference of the intercepted arcs and take half of that and that is your angle that is formed outside of that thingy there
what is half of the difference of 136 and 28
they didnt label it. u said the formula at the bottom i should be using..
"Angle Formed Outside of a Circle by the Intersection of: "Two Tangents" or "Two Secants" or "a Tangent and a Secant". The formulas for all THREE of these situations are the same: Angle Formed Outside = 1/2 Difference of Intercepted Arcs "
68 and 14?
ok you can talk the half before subtracting but you still need to subtract
54?
\[\frac{1}{2}(136-28) =68-14 \\ \text{ or I would have done } \frac{1}{2}(108)\] but either way the answer comes to be 54 yep
oh ok thank you!
agreed with freckles. The answer is 54 Sometimes it helps to color code things (for me anyway) to keep the arcs correct. But it's not mandatory or anything
what do you mean?
nevermind lol figured it out
alright
