What are key words that help narrow your research when using a search engine? and, or, not and, or, but but, nor, and but, not, and

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Mr.Z @POKERPRO23

@Askonna_meow

@ganeshie8

OpenStudy (mr.z):

All of these have conjunctions so it's tuff to say. Conjunctions can screw up your search. I wanna say "and, or, not" because "but" included in your search - usually for me - screws up the search more then any other conjunction. i I'd double check with someone.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and,or,but because when you search all 3 are helpful

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When it is but, then it explains on to what your searching by itself

OpenStudy (fabian1998):

go with b poker is smart

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I say A. Because not makes it more explicit that one's not searching for the preceding noun.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THIS IS SO CONFUSING!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use of but reverses the entire search

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or nullifies the use of previous noun itself.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

On the other hand , not makes explicit that one is not in search for the noun being referred to.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

interesting but, how is not a helpful conjuction,i see when something is a Not,means that its false. For example:Which of the following is not a Function....... I see.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pretty nice catch

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup A
