|dw:1436248643503:dw| On first inspection, the question looks dodgy. As you said, x can be 3 or -3. That means the distance between x and 2 is either 1 or 5. I would say that none of the answers are correct, as the relationship CAN be determined, but by absolute values. Assuming their answer is actually correct, then maybe they mean for x to only be 3, in which case A = 1 and B = 2, so B > A (i.e. B is greater than A).
