absolute value of 13??

OpenStudy (empty):

Any ideas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

we need the absolute value rules...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Maybe this will help...... http://www.mathsisfun.com/numbers/absolute-value.html

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

yes I was getting there, but it was a pain to Latex everything.

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

so anyway, a negative number inside the absolute value will become positive if we already have a positive number inside the absolute value then the result is positive.

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

|dw:1436358720294:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Therefore its 13

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

Yay! it's 13!

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

good job :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol! it wasn't my question I asked

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

x(... well keep the medal anyway ...my gift.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah its 13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it is 13. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The absolute value is just the distance away from 0 it is, so if its [5] its is 5 away, if its [-5] it is still 5 away. So its just the number missing the + and - signs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

13

OpenStudy (mm3591):

13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

13

OpenStudy (vheah):

It's still 13 since it's no negative and there is nothing else in there that can possibly change the number.
