1) When using susbstion its best to use it if it tells you that a varible equals something y = 3x + 4 2x + 3y = 10 In this case it is a given that y equals something so we use that information and plug it into the 2nd equation like this \(\huge\rm\color{black}{2x + 3(3x+4)=10}\)

@Moe95 Okay so since #2 tells us what y equals on both equations, shouldn't I combine the two equations? Or do I try for x?
