4/11 divided by 4/9
When you divide a fraction i think you flip it an it turns into a multiplication problem
I'll show you
\(\sf\LARGE \frac{a}{b}\div\frac{c}{d} = \frac{a}{b} \times \frac{d}{c}=\frac{a ~\times ~d}{b ~\times~c}\)
|dw:1436386048999:dw| THIS IS THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM
okay so do i flip both of them or just one half?
my teacher taught us this this thing called skip, flip and then multiply
From what I gave you, you can just plug in \(\sf a= 4 \\ b= 11 \\c = 4 \\d=9\)
so 11/4 divided by 9/4?
Yes
You should also look at this it will help you understand better http://www.purplemath.com/modules/fraction3.htm
actually that would get us a wrong answer...
No it would because when you have a problem like she has to flip a multiply is what you should do
and^
so only one half like in your example @AbdullahM
i will try both and see what i get..
okay @AbdullahM i got 44/36
that's wrong .-.
@AbdullahM oh that was the wrong one i got 99/16
still wrong...
i did what you showed me....
the other thing i would have got 1/3
\(\sf\LARGE \frac{a}{b}\div\frac{c}{d} = \frac{a}{b} \times \frac{d}{c}=\frac{a ~\times ~d}{b ~\times~c}\) \(\sf a= 4 \\ b= 11 \\c = 4 \\d=9\)
