Let set A = {1, 3, 5, 7} and set B = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8}. Which notation shows the relationship between set A and set B?
A ∪ B A ⊆ B A ∩ B B ⊆ A
Ive never been good at this so if someone can help me i would appreciate it, Thanks. :)
I can only do the first and third one.. I"m kind of idiotic for 2 and 4.. maybe I can try (can't guarantee if it's right)
so for the first one A ∪ B this is the union of A and B which means all elements are considered. For the third one A ∩ B this is the intersection of A and B which means what does A and B have in common and you list those elements only
Try explaining as best as possible. Im trying to learn this and move on. Thank you :)
A subset of B and B subset of A might only return a true or false
A ⊆ B This means A is contained in B...or A is a subset in B I think it's the elements of A is contained in B.
So as you stated, the third one should be correct? Relationship, right?
Similarly B ⊆ A means that B is a subset of A.. B is contained in A.. So I'm assuming it's only elements in B that are contained in A.
I have no idea how to handle that term... if "relationship" you mean what do they have in common? Or "relationship" can be subset idkz.
U is a OR relation and ∩ is a AND relation
I think it would be the third option, n. @hba what do you think?
thanks for helping @UsukiDoll It's been a while since i got help like that. :)
all of A r in B so A is subset from B ,As B is superset
I guess that would be the answer
Thanks you @hba
When did u hit 99? o.O
Long time ago before i left :p
thanks ^^. At least I tried xD. This is set theory but I really hate some of the symbols.
i left in march so XD
well cya later guys
