How do you find the area of a triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A=hbb 2

OpenStudy (igreen):

The formula for the area of a triangle is: \(\sf A = \dfrac{1}{2}bh\) Where \(\sf b\) is the base, and \(\sf h\) is the height.

OpenStudy (igreen):

So just plug in whatever you are given into the formula, and simplify.

thank you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

he's right... my formula didn't show up right for some reason. :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a=1/2 bh

OpenStudy (setsuna-yuregeshi):

\[\frac{ 1 }{2 }B \times H\]

OpenStudy (setsuna-yuregeshi):

B is base, H is height. And you could just multiply BxH first then take half of that. Or Take half of the base and multiply that by the height Or take half of the height and multiply that by the base. Same thing... Make sure to close your questions if they are answered.
