OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is speciation a result of ? A) a change in existing species' environment B) the allele frequency with in a population remaining the same C) new alleles forming because of a mutation D) a random chance event

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Hello! What do you think it should be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

....

OpenStudy (abhisar):

I am sorry. Not able to understand that language c:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

.... umm ... ok?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

He is trying to help please try and give a direct answer please. If you aren't responding to where we can understand you then we can help you understand what needs to be understood. @violetcateyes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you guys not speak English? he clearly stated he doesn't speak this language im sorry im not fluent in any other language

OpenStudy (abhisar):

No I definitely speak English. What I said is that i didn't get your "........" language. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar ^ Please maintain a calm and stable tone. You did not speak English...you spoke in punctuation marks. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Also he is going to help you understand not give you a direct answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, I posted this question because I literally know nothing on the subject

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you have an idea of what speciation is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no I dont

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well when you research the topic, google says that it is the formation of new and distinct species

OpenStudy (anonymous):

makeing new and old things?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Think about the information I gave you and try to relate it to your answer choice that you were given.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And no distinct does not mean old, it means recognizably different in nature from something else of a similar type or readily distinguishable by the senses.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is your reasoning? Or was that just a lucky guess?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it has the key word new... and mutation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol do you know what a mutation is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"recognizably different" seems similar to mutation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is, there are 2 answers that make sense @Abhisar may you please check her answer for me please? thankyou :)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Thanks for the help @kingalex123 , Yes, that seems correct to me. Mutation causes various changes in the genetic make up of an organism which may lead to speciation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thankyou for specifying. @Abhisar

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Pleasure is mine, Keep up the good work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar um Is there any other possible answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

change in the environment?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yep, I think change in th animal's environment can also lead to speciation.
