The answer is 288 ft, and that the ball will bounce. I attempted solving it, but did not get the right answer.
This is my work:
you used the wrong value for gravity. The units are in ft so g is 32.2 ft/s²
Your logic is perfect. As @peachpi says, you just used the SI units instead of Imperial Units
But the answer is in ft why would I convert everything into m ?
You don't need to convert to meters, just change 9.81 m/s^2 to 32.2 ft/s^2 in your calculations. If you start with ft, you need to use the "g" that has ft \(not\) meters. Does that make sense?
