OpenStudy (oleg3321):

come on this is easy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HELP ME LEARN! :p

OpenStudy (oleg3321):

ok so all you do it combine all these numbers and you are left with -7y^2-13y-18

OpenStudy (oleg3321):

@SurpriseBreeze does that help?

pooja195 (pooja195):

@oleg3321 you gave the answer congrats.

OpenStudy (oleg3321):

i told him you have to add the numbers and then you get that answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wow that was easy! :D Thanks haha

pooja195 (pooja195):

@oleg3321 you didnt even tell the asker they need to distribute

OpenStudy (oleg3321):

idk do i have to show him how to add? ok next time ill show people how to do kindergarden math lol @pooja195 ok next time ill get into more detail

pooja195 (pooja195):

Want me to show you how to explain?

OpenStudy (oleg3321):

ya sure lol

pooja195 (pooja195):

Ok so we fisr notice that theres a - sign in between the 2 parehteses therefore we need to distrubite theres no varible there so we assume its 1 \(\huge\rm\color{red}{-}(4y^2+6y+9)\) We distribute and bascially the signs slip we end up with \(\huge\rm\color{red}{-4y^2-6y-9}\)

pooja195 (pooja195):

From there we combine like terms \[\huge~\rm~-3y^2 - 7y - 9−4y^2−6y−9 \]

OpenStudy (oleg3321):

so much explaining just for distabution? wow

OpenStudy (oleg3321):

ok will try to do more explaing next time

pooja195 (pooja195):

\(\huge\rm\color{red}{-3y^2-4y^2=?}\) \(\huge\rm\color{purple}{-7y-6y=?}\) \(\huge\rm\color{teal}{-9-9=?}\)

pooja195 (pooja195):

@oleg3321 its called learning and explaining. Here on OpenStudy we do not give direct answers.

OpenStudy (oleg3321):

ok cool :)

pooja195 (pooja195):

And once we are done the asker should be able to solve this. :)
