JoelTheBoss (joel_the_boss):

How does solving a literal equation differ from solving a linear equation? I have no idea, :/ Can someone help, thank you.

JoelTheBoss (joel_the_boss):

@ganeshie8 @pooja195

OpenStudy (swamijatin2):

A literal equation usually has only letters in it and can just be a general equation ; A linear equation is an equation that when graphed in Cartesian coordinates is a straight line

JoelTheBoss (joel_the_boss):

But when they are being solved, how are they different?

OpenStudy (swamijatin2):

Because linear equations are based on algebra equal to each other whereas literal equations are based on solving for one variable.

JoelTheBoss (joel_the_boss):

Ok thank you :)

OpenStudy (swamijatin2):

welcome
