hi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello

OpenStudy (anonymous):

need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i do..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (welshfella):

use the Cosine rule cos C = a^2 + b^2 - c^2 -------------- 2ab

OpenStudy (welshfella):

(the side c is opposite < C , a oppositse <A and b is opposite angle B)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 260 over 762? @welshfella

OpenStudy (welshfella):

for cos C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2.93 ... ? i am confused

OpenStudy (welshfella):

cos C = (12.5^2 + 15^2 - 11^2) / (2*12.5*15)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay.. 248 / 375 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@welshfella i do not think that is right

OpenStudy (welshfella):

no its not it should be 260.25 / (2*12.5* 15 what do you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, first thing in the morning, takes a minuet to process. but 260.25 / 375 ??

OpenStudy (welshfella):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and cos would be .99968 which isnt an answer

OpenStudy (welshfella):

so to find angle C use cos-1 on your calculator.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says error when i try

OpenStudy (welshfella):

260.25 / 375 = 0.694 you need cos-1 0.694 - have you set ur calculatoe to degrees?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just dide and the answer is 46.0524!! thank you @welshfella

OpenStudy (welshfella):
