the average of change is the slope, and this slope is same everywhere on this given function, because this function is linear.

$$\frac{\Delta f(x)}{\Delta x}=\frac{f(x_{2})-f(x_{1})}{x_{2}-x_{1}}$$
Calculate f(x) at 0 and 1 and use the formula...
