I'll medal! The weight of Jacob’s backpack is made up of the weight of the contents of the backpack as well as the weight of the backpack itself. Seventy percent of the total weight is textbooks. His notebooks weigh a total of 4 pounds, and the backpack itself weighs 2 pounds. If the backpack contains only textbooks and notebooks, which equation can be used to determine t, the weight of the textbooks? 0.7(t) = t – 4 – 2 0.7(t) = t + 4 + 2 0.7t(4 + 2) = t 0.7(t + 4 + 2) = t

any guess plz? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

VERY very close...think about it...0.7t is the weight of textbooks n t is the total weight... does 0.7(t) = t + 4 + 2 make sense or it should be another choice there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So C?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

total weight = textbook + notebook + backpack ok?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

hahahahaa lets try solving the prob plz? total weight = t notebook = 4 backpack = 2 what is the weight of textbook?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait isn't T the weight of the textbooks? Then we multiply the weight of the text book by 0.7 since it's 70% of the weight of the backpack to get the total... I'm very confused rn

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

OH sxxx....sorry sorry sorry..... @StudyBuggTori i mis-read the prob :( :( :( im so sorrie!!!

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

D is the right ans of course n u got it already @StudyBuggTori :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
