Using complete sentences, explain the difference between a linear equation and a quadratic equation. This was my response, can anybody tell me if it is correct? My Answer: The difference between a linear equation and a quadratic equation is that a linear equation always has one x-intercept; y=mx+b, while a quadratic intercept can have no, 1, or 2 x-intercepts depending on the equation; ax^2+bx+c.
