The y-intercept of the line whose equation is 2x - 3y = 6 is

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Whenever you are to find out the y-intercept, you always (or like almost all the time) have the point for x as 0: (0, y) In this equation what you would do is substitute x for 0. 2(0) - 3y = 6 Then what you can do is solve for y and figure out your y-intercept.

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Did you get the value for y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got y= -2. Is that correct?

Mehek (mehek14):

yes
