from \(y =\sqrt{x}\), we have \(x =y^2\) and the vertex is (0,0) , the graph is |dw:1437603450677:dw|
now, the vertex form is \(x =a (y-k)^2+h \) , from the given one, we have a =1, h, k are given, just plug in!!
Remember, if y = x^2 , then the vertex form is y = a(x-h)^2 +k, but this problem gives us x =y^2, hence the location of h, k on vertex form are exchanged.
