The Nuremberg trials showed the world that world leaders would be held accountable for crimes they commit during war... The massive publicity of these trials was to make sure that future leaders did not commit the crimes against humanity that the Nazis did... It also showed that even the most "evil" people would have the right to a fair, unbiased trial, a landmark for world legislation... The Nuremberg trials was to ensure that legalized mass genocide would never be promoted by world leaders, but we can see that in the post-WWII period, that was not the case (Rwanda, Pol Pot in Cambodia, Mao's Great Step Forward, etc :)

They didn't. There is as much worldwide injustice now as there was seventy years ago. Look at Syria, China, North Korea, etc. The Nuremberg Trials haven't affected those countries.
