The use of "Because," the subordinating conjunction, introduces a cause/effect sequence. The main action in Sentence 4 is that her car crashed. The reason is because she answered a phone call, taking her eyes off the road. So since it's a cause/effect sequence, it makes sense. Sentence 1 is just a random though thrown in at a certain time. Sentence 2 is the same, but after the fact of number 1. Sentence 3 follow that. Notice, that these three follow a plot of their one. Sentence 4 would be the only one that answers the question.

any luck

I'm thinking. These are similar, I think. This is actually tough lol. I wanna say Sentence 4 again, but at the same time why would they both be the same answer? The only two that give a reason /why/ something happened are sentences 3 and 4

k how about this

Select the correctly punctuated sentence. Under the tree Angel found three gold coins. Under the tree, Angel found three gold coins. Under the tree, Angel found three, gold coins. Under the tree, Angel found three gold, coins.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For starters, you can eliminate the first option. If you were to say that without commas, it would sound like "under the tree angel." What's a tree angel? From there, worry about the three gold coins. Commas are only used in multiple parts of a description. A number wouldn't require a comma after it. If that part was "three bright, gold coins," then it might make more sense. However, because of this, the correct answer would be 2

Is that all?
